This is an early draft for a small, closed group of trusted testers. It is not yet reviewed by a solicitor and is not legal advice. myWishpot is in beta testing, so please do not upload sensitive personal information, and understand that you take part at your own risk (see section 10). By taking part you accept these terms as they stand today. myWishpot is operated by HealthComm Solutions Limited, based in the United Kingdom, at mywishpot.com.
1. About myWishpot
myWishpot lets family and friends place digital cards, a message and a photo, into a private vault. A child vault is set up by a guardian and stays sealed until the child turns 18. An adult vault is set up by an adult and opens cards on chosen dates or occasions.
2. Who can use myWishpot, and how age works
You must be 18 or over to hold an account, to send a card, and to be a guardian. A child vault seals until the child turns 18, when it is handed over to them; there is no earlier reveal.
3. Your account and signing in
We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email. There is no password, so your email account is the key to your account. Keep it secure and never share your sign-in codes. We will never ask you for a code.
4. Date of birth and address
When you create an account we ask for your date of birth, to confirm you are at least 18; under-18s cannot create an account. We also ask for a postal address, for safeguarding and accountability. Paid extras are a later phase.
5. The vault, locking and the unlock
A guardian curates a child vault and reviews and approves each card. Once sealed, the child and the senders have no access until the vault unlocks at 18. An adult vault opens cards on the dates the owner chooses. myWishpot is a way to keep memories, not a safe-deposit box; keep your own copies of anything important.
6. If you are a guardian
You confirm you have proper authority over the child. You choose who to invite, and you review every card before it enters the vault. Automated checks run first, but your human review is the final decision. You may edit cards you wrote yourself, and you may remove any card from your vault.
7. If you are a sender
You own what you create and confirm you have the right to share it. You keep your own record of the cards you have sent, held separately from the vault, even if the vault is later deleted. Once a guardian approves your card you cannot edit or withdraw it. A child still has rights over their own image, which can be erased even from your record.
8. Child safety, scanning and reporting
Every photo is scanned automatically before it reaches a guardian, and is blocked if the scan cannot run. We check the words in a card and flag sexualised or grooming language. A guardian reviews every card as the final step. Where we detect content that appears to be child sexual abuse material, we preserve it and report it to the National Crime Agency or other authorities as the law requires.
9. Deleting, retention and erasure
A guardian can delete a vault. It becomes inactive at once and is permanently deleted after 30 days, unless restored. An immediate permanent-erase option is available for the right to erasure. A sender keeps the words of what they sent, but a child’s image and identifying details can be removed from that record where a child’s data must be erased.
10. Beta testing, availability and liability
myWishpot is in closed beta testing and is provided as is, with no warranties. It may contain bugs, may change, and may be unavailable at times. Please do not upload sensitive personal information (for example health, financial, or identity details) or anything you would not want lost or seen by someone else. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor anyone associated with the product accept responsibility or liability for any issue, bug, loss of data, or unintended access to or sharing of data or images that may occur during testing, and you take part at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, you agree not to bring a claim against us or any person or entity involved in the product in connection with your use of it during testing. This does not remove your data protection rights or a child’s rights, and it does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded under UK law.
11. Fair usage
myWishpot is for personal use. To keep the service safe, fast and affordable for everyone, we apply sending and storage limits, and we may restrict or suspend any account we reasonably believe is sending spam, misusing the service, or placing unreasonable load on it. If we restrict your account we will tell you why and how to appeal. Cards and memories already saved in your vault stay safe and remain viewable while any restriction is in place.
12. Feedback you send us
The Feedback tab lets you tell us how testing is going. What you write there is separate from your cards. We store your feedback and process it with an AI service to summarise it for us, so your comments are read and acted on quickly. Your cards, their messages, and their photos are never sent to that service. Please do not include personal details, other people’s information, or anything private in your feedback. You can send feedback as often as you like, and each submission is kept separately.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as myWishpot develops. If we make an important change we will tell you and, where needed, ask you to agree again before you continue. The version and date above show the current wording.
